“Teacher approved” content for your child on Google Play

We’ve teamed up with academic experts and teachers across the country, to help you find content that’s right for your child. Browse our Kids tab on the Google Play Store to find “Teacher approved” apps that are both enriching and entertaining. On the app details page, you can see why teachers rate apps highly, and check content ratings to understand if an app is age appropriate. You can also see whether an app contains ads, allows in-app purchases, or requires device permissions.

We hold developers who build apps for children to higher standards with our developer policies for the Play Store.

Google Assistant

Fun for the whole family with help from Google Assistant

Your Assistant makes it easy to find entertainment for the whole family to enjoy together. Discover family-friendly games and activities created through our Actions for Families program, or hear your favorite tales before bed by simply asking your Assistant to tell you a story. Listen to music that the whole family can enjoy once you’ve set up Filters, and use Downtime on your device to unplug and make the most of your time together.

Human reviewers have reviewed each of our Actions for Families activities for family friendliness, but no system is perfect. Inappropriate content can slip through, so we’re constantly working to improve our safeguards.

Google Workspace

Building a more secure learning environment for classrooms

Google Workspace for Education helps teachers and students interact securely across devices. Its core services do not contain ads, and we do not use any personal information of users in primary through secondary (K–12) schools to target ads. We also provide tools to help administrators set policies around appropriate activities and help protect students using their school Google Accounts. We are committed to providing schools with the tools and resources they need to make informed decisions around the Google Workspace for Education services used by their students.

Chromebooks

Making the classroom safer

Millions of students use Chromebooks – Google’s laptops – in the classroom. Administrators can manage group settings to give students as much or as little functionality or access as needed. Our privacy and security features help keep kids’ personal information protected and have helped make Chromebooks the top choice in U.S. K–12 schools and many schools in other countries.
